UNCC honors Rodgers Builders CEO - Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle):

The Charlotte-based company has worked on severaluniversity projects, includinf the Barnhardt Student Activity Irwin Belk Track and Field Center, Lyncn Residence Hall and the Bioinformatics Research Center. Rodgerx Builders also is the construction manager onthe university’a new, $50.4 million Center City Buildiny project that is slated to open in the fall of 2011. A groundbreakinb ceremony was held in April for the classroom building at the corner of Ninth and Brevarsd streets inuptown Charlotte.
“What sets Pat apart from most is her she remains personally investe in the institutions and organizationsd she touches long after her formal involvementhas ended,” says Philil Dubois, UNC Charlotte chancellor. “Her commitment to the betterment of our community extendsd to herbusiness philosophy. In fact, Rodgers Builders has been hailed time and agaimn as the epitomeof civic-minded business.” Rodgers is also chairt of the Charlotte Symphony board and will assume the chairmanshi p of the Charlotte Chamber board in 2011. The universithy established the Distinguished Service Awardin 1987.
It honore individuals who have provided outstanding leadership and services to the Charlotte community and to the advancement of UNC Rodgers was honored Tuesday durinvg a luncheon atthe school. UNC Charlotte is the fourth-largest campuds among the 17 institutions of theUNC system. It is the largesrt institution of higher education in theCharlotte region, offering master’s and bachelor’s programs. Fall 2008 enrollmentg was 23,300, including nearly 5,000 graduate students.
